Presenting the Chestnut Street Singers for Carols on the Schuylkill!
We are pleased to welcome aboard the Chestnut Street Singers for a special day of carols and cookies on the Schuylkill River. Join us for a special warm and cozy cruise with friends, family, and all of your loved ones to celebrate the Holiday Season.
During this one hour cruise the Chestnut Street Singers will perform a repertoire of Christmas music. They will bring to the Schuylkill their tradition of classical interpretation of holiday music and carols in a “performative” way. We imagine that many of the great manors of the Schuylkill including the Bartram’s House and the Woodlands would be familiar with their music. Included with the cruise we will be offering free cookies for all of our guests. This is sure to become a Philadelphia holiday tradition that can’t be missed.
During this cruise we will travel up to the Fairmount Water Works, down to Bartram’s Garden and then return to Schuylkill Banks. During the cruise the bar will be open and wine, beer, and cocktails will be available for purchase.
These cruises will take place aboard our yacht Liberty. The Liberty was designed to cruise through January 1st and is heated and protected from the elements with windows and doors.

About the Chestnut Street Singers
Founded in 2010 and based in Center City, Chestnut Street Singers is a cooperative chamber choir committed to active engagement with musical traditions and their evolution. They seek to illuminate commonalities linking the early Renaissance to contemporary practices, integrating canonical repertoire with lesser-known works and augmenting their musicality with creative and irreverent programming.
